Connection Ladies' Favorite Things
Ladies, our Favorite Things Party is today, November 8th at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall. If you didn't RSVP yet you can still reach out to Kristin Caraway or Marissa Himes, or do so on the facebook event page. Snacks and drinks will be provided at the party-- We're having a chili bar- {chili and all the toppings}- plus something sweet. So bring your appetite!
Fall Baby Bottle Campaign
There’s just one more week of the Fall Baby Bottle Fundraiser for the Lighthouse Pregnancy and Health Services Center. Let’s try to give them our best support! Your donation, no matter how small, can make a difference in the lives of expectant parents and their babies. Donations of cash, checks, or change can be placed in the bottle in the foyer or in the yellow coin spinner!
Christmas Card Exchange
Our annual Christmas Card Exchange is coming up! A sign-up sheet is available in the church foyer. If you’re interested in participating this year take a minute to add your name before you leave Sunday. Sign up will continue until November 23rd and a list of names will be available the 30th. Cards can be dropped off in the back of the sanctuary December 7th and 14th. And after service on the 14th you’ll collect your cards to take home and enjoy!
Family Movie Night
We’re kicking off the holiday season with a Connection Church Family Movie Night
Sunday, November 30th 6pm
Featuring “The Star”:
An animated nativity story told through the eyes of a young donkey named Bo, who helps Mary and Joseph travel to Bethlehem, and witnesses the first Christmas.
Wear your pjs or comfy clothes and bring your favorite drink
Free popcorn will be provided!
Clothing Giveaway
Our Annual Clothing Giveaway will be here before we know it! This is one of the largest outreach ministries that we put on for our community and we're able to serve a lot of people through the time and donations that people give!
This year the Giveaway will be December 6th 8am- noon, with Drop-off December 1-4th 3-7pm. If you're able to help serve any time that week please take a minute to sign up on the sheet in the foyer. Flyers to get the word out about the Giveaway are also available in the foyer. Please take as many as you would like to share to help us get the word out!
Christmas on Main & Community Service
Sunday, December 7th our community will be celebrating Christmas with two different events, starting with Christmas on Main from 2-5pm. Our local churches will be taking part by each having a booth on Main Street, and the event will wrap up with lighting of the tree. And afterward will be our Community Church service- 6pm at St. Elmo Christian Church!
A Merry Connection Christmas
Join us to celebrate a Merry Connection Christmas! It’ll be a unique Sunday service that will begin with worshipping our Savior! —followed by a funny, relatable skit that leads into a short sermon. Our Connection Kids and 29:ELEVEN youth group will bring the service to a close with a short program.
THEN, after all of that, join us for a catered holiday meal in the Fellowship Hall!
(Yes, a meal where you don’t have to bring anything and you don’t have to feel bad if you forgot—just show up and eat!)
Food Pantry
Our suggested donation item for the food pantry this month is stuffing and noodles. All your food donations are welcomed and so appreciated. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our local Food Pantry!
