Connection Ladies' Favorite Things
Ladies, our Favorite Things Party is Saturday, November 8th at 6pm in the Fellowship Hall. If you haven't had the opportunity to join us before, here's all the details you'll need to know:
Pick your "favorite thing" that you want to share. Your "favorite thing" can be one item, or group of items, with a total value around $10 (Ex: Bracelet making kit+ a candy bar) Purchase THREE of your favorite thing item(s) to bring to the party, unwrapped
(Ex: 3 bracelet making kits & candy bars $10 each= $30 total spent)
At the party each lady will show off their items and briefly share why it's a favorite. Then you'll randomly draw 3 ladies’ names to receive the item you brought. In turn, you'll put your name in to be drawn as well. Your name will be selected to receive 3 other people's "favorite things"!
Snacks and drinks will be provided at the party. Please RSVP in the facebook event or to Kristin Caraway or Marissa Himes.
Fall Baby Bottle Campaign
The Lighthouse Pregnancy and Health Services Center's Fall Baby Bottle Fundraiser runs thru November 16th. Donations of cash, checks, or change can be placed in the baby bottle in the foyer. We even have a fun way for the kids to put their change donations in! The donations we make to the LPHS help to prevent abortions by providing support, education, and counseling for expectant parents and families.
Clothing Giveaway
Our Annual Clothing Giveaway will be here before we know it! This is one of the largest outreach ministries that we put on for our community and we're able to serve a lot of people through the time and donations that people give!
This year the Giveaway will be December 6th 8am- noon, with Drop-off December 1-4th 3-7pm. If you're able to help serve any time that week please take a minute to sign up on the sheet in the foyer. Flyers to get the word out about the Giveaway are also available in the foyer. Please take as many as you would like to share to help us get the word out!
Food Pantry
Our suggested donation item for the food pantry this month is boxed potatoes. All your food donations are welcomed and so appreciated. Thank you to everyone who continues to support our local Food Pantry!
